There’s no doubt kit homes have become hugely popular in recent years, with the cost of kit set homes attractive, along with the customisations available.
This is something Imagine Kit Homes are experts in, designing and supplying quality architectural homes without the premium price tag. The house plans can be personalised to suit homeowners’ styles and budgets, with time and money saved – from design through the construction process, Imagine Kit Homes guides you through every step of the process and works with builders to ensure your home is built to the highest standards.
Recently completed, this bespoke kit home in Mangawhai has a high-end look and feel achieved on a modest budget.
“The design needed to be client-focused and practical while complementing the beautiful site and location,” says Richard Jackson from Imagine Kit Homes (IKH). “The IKH design team have a raft of experience in designing award-winning homes at some of the best locations around the world and never loses focus on the end result.”
Entering the home through large double-glazed sliding doors, the grandeur of the main living space is immediately experienced. The natural light floods through the glazing, including the upper clerestory windows, with the sun’s warmth being soaked up by the polished concrete flooring running throughout the home. With a raking ceiling, beautiful views and a fireplace, the open-plan kitchen, living and dining space is impressive.
“The fixed glass highlight windows allow for plenty of light and star gazing at night,” says Jackson. “From this space, you flow through the extra-wide passage/hall all beautifully finished with polished concrete floors and high ceilings. There are four generously sized bedrooms, a large master bedroom right at the end of the hall with an ensuite and walk-in-wardrobe, the bathroom, powder room, study and a separate laundry.”
Modern and sophisticated throughout, the bathroom entices relaxation with a beautiful stone freestanding bathtub, and the ensuite feels light and spacious with fresh white subway tiles. Accessed via a large custom-made over-wall sliding door, the master is a true retreat.
The project came together over seven months, with every aspect designed to suit the homeowners.
“Our kits are completely customisable and designed to suit the individual client and site,” says Jackson. “Most clients prefer to chat directly with designers in the preliminary design process and whether it’s modifying existing designs or starting from scratch, the only limit is their imagination.”
Imagine Kit Homes have a repertoire of hundreds of designs to choose from – keep them as they are or alter them to make them your own. All the plans and materials to build the home are offered at one set cost.
“Empowering owner-builders by assisting them throughout their building journey and allowing them to save substantially is important to us, as is giving owners the ability to shop around for the finishing touches and personalisations such as lighting and kitchen and bathroom finishes. We offer a diverse range and competitive pricing.”
The majority of materials for Imagine Kit Homes are delivered directly to the site as required, with the ability for kits to also be containerised and sent throughout the Pacific Islands and further abroad.
A collaboration between Blueprint Construction, the owners and Imagine Kit Homes, this Mangawhai home is a stunning example of how a simple kit set home design can be customised to suit your specific needs.
“The clients have been great,” says Jackson. “A great deal of the success is credited to them along with Chad and his amazing build team at Blueprint Construction who have built many Imagine Kit Homes.”
