AGA cookers have filled the kitchens and the hearts of AGA owners with their warmth for generations - and continue to do so today.

With rising energy costs and changing lifestyles, more existing and prospective AGA owners naturally want to know about the cost of running their AGA heat-storage cooker, and the impact it has on the environment.

The all-electric models in the AGA 7 Series and AGA 3 Series have switch on/switch off hotplates leading to much reduced running costs.  In addition, cookers in the eR (every day radiant heat) collection have independently controllable ovens, meaning they can be on when you need them on and off when you don’t.

Some Australian Aga owners are choosing to live off-grid, connecting to solar power. Ted and Lisa Schneider are one such couple. They own an Aga eR3 60 and reside in a little slice of heaven on the North coast of Tasmania. You can read their story in the Community section of the Aga Living tab on our website.
