Cape to Bluff stands apart as an architectural book that deeply understands place. First published in 2021, Simon Devitt’s photographic journey from Cape Reinga to Bluff offered a deeply observed portrait of New Zealand architecture, seen through homes shaped by land, weather, memory and the lives lived within them. Now, Cape to Bluff Vol. 2 continues that journey.

Across Aotearoa, the 2026 NZIA Regional Architecture Awards have recognised a broad field of work spanning homes, workplaces, public buildings, cultural projects, hospitality spaces, schools and adaptive reuse.
