With innovations like the Luna magnetic track system and a dedicated Milan design office, FLUA ensures lighting is more than illumination – instead, making it an integral part of the architectural story.

“Great architecture deserves great lighting,” says FLUA Lighting’s Mo Safi. “We believe that every space tells a story, and the right lighting is what brings that story to life.”

In architecture, light is more than a necessity – it’s an essential design tool. It shapes how we perceive a space, draws attention to detail, and creates an atmosphere that walls and furniture alone cannot achieve. In New Zealand, FLUA Lighting has emerged as a trusted collaborator for architects, designers and homeowners who understand the transformative power of light.

“From concept to completion, our approach is rooted in partnership. We work alongside architects and designers to integrate lighting seamlessly into their vision, ensuring every angle, texture, and detail is illuminated with purpose.”

The result? Spaces that have a depth to them that can’t be achieved without a considered approach to lighting.

The Luna Track & Lights System

Flexibility has increasingly become a must-have in both residential and commercial interiors. We want our furniture to have dual purpose, our rooms to be easily adaptable, and our spaces to flow effortlessly with the rhythms of modern living. When it comes to lighting, this is no different.

Solutions such as the Luna Track & Light System offer this versatility.

“Customisable lighting is really what clients are looking for. The Luna Track lighting is very popular and has become well-known in the lighting industry because it’s magnetic.”

Sleek, low voltage and engineered for both form and function, the system offers true flexibility. The magnetic connection allows any compatible light to be simply clicked in where needed – a quick way to adjust where illumination is needed, without having to install new lighting. The system can also be surface-mounted, recessed or suspended depending on the design brief.

The Luna Track system can be recessed for a streamlined aesthetic.

FLUA’s bespoke lighting service

Where further customisation is needed – be it a unique pendant, sculptural wall light, or something entirely different – FLUA Lighting has a team of designers and engineers in Milan to develop exactly what your project needs.

“It’s a collaborative process from the start. We support lighting designers and architects, working together to achieve the right result for their projects.”

The process

  • Provide building consent plans and other DWG files (including architectural drawings or floor plans, if available). FLUA will request and review city council building consent plans.
  • Initial consultation: The team will meet with you to chat about your specific lighting requirements, furniture layouts (if available), and project goals, whether for homes, offices, retail spaces, or industrial facilities.
  • Custom lighting design: FLUA will create a professional lighting design that enhances the aesthetic and functionality of your space, tailored to the needs of the property type.
  • Detailed drawings and quotation: Comprehensive AutoCAD drawings, plans, and an accurate quotation will be prepared to give you a clear understanding of the project scope.
  • Design review meeting: A follow-up meeting will be scheduled to present the proposed design, discuss your feedback, and refine the plan for preliminary approval.
  • Comprehensive lighting plans: FLUA will provide finalised plans detailing all lighting specifications, dimensions, and circuiting to guide smooth execution.
  • Initial payment: A deposit will be required to commence work.
  • Material handover and electrician coordination: FLUA will supply all materials needed for the lighting project and coordinate with electricians to ensure efficient and accurate implementation.
  • Site visits will be conducted as agreed, ensuring quality and addressing any on-site requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial premises.
In homes, FLUA's lighting solutions help craft environments that reflect the individuality of their owners—warm, intimate, and adaptive to daily life.

By engaging early in the design process, FLUA ensures that lighting becomes part of the architectural language, not an afterthought. This close partnership allows lighting to highlight form, enhance functionality and introduce new layers of ambience that define the character of a space.

“With an uncompromising commitment to quality, innovation and design excellence, FLUA is proud to light the way for New Zealand’s architectural future – elevating spaces, enriching experiences and ensuring every project shines.”
