An elegant new signage solution for contemporary spaces & architecture

Signage on a home or business is often the trickiest element to get right. Particularly when you put so much time and attention into all of the other aspects of a space, it can be really disappointing to use sub-standard signage that doesn’t support or enhance the overall design.

ABI co-founder Luli Farrell says minimalist, off-the-shelf signage has been impossible to find for designers and homeowners.

“We've seen that in the market, there's not a lot of signage that's elegant and sophisticated, and if you do want this kind of product it's mostly custom-made. There hasn’t been any ready-made signage, so we've launched the collection to make it easier for people to purchase beautiful signage.”

For signage to be effective, Luli says it needs to be eye-catching, yet clean and streamlined, so as not to take away from the design of a space.

“Signage should be part of the overall sensory experience of a space, and our broad Signage Collection is designed to create a pleasing consistency and personalised elegance for both commercial and residential settings.”

Very much designed to be consistent with the ABI Interiors brand, which specialises in high-quality, coloured architectural hardware with a simple and clean-lined approach, the Signage range is made from the same high-quality materials.

Constructed from 316 stainless steel (marine grade), it’s suitable for both exterior and interior use and comes with two options for mounting, either a 3M adhesive or offset screw fixing. Each character or digit also comes with its own individual template to assist with accurate mounting.

Luli says the range provides exceptional resistance to corrosion and rust, which means it’s suitable for indoor and outdoor applications across residential and commercial spaces.

“We envision the Signage Collection to be perfect for businesses such as wellness centres, hotels, cafes, restaurants and larger commercial spaces. Equally, it’s an ideal solution for a letterbox number or a number on your door.”

The range includes equally-sized capital letters, numbers, and wayfinding signage in three finishes: brushed brass, brushed gunmetal, and stainless steel; and there are additional finishes coming up in the pipeline. This means if you’ve used other ABI hardware or tapware in your design, you can achieve a seamless match.

The Signage Collection can be ordered off the ABI Interiors website, which allows customers to choose and order multiple signage options, with the click of a button.

To ensure customers are getting the exact signage they’re after, the website also offers a final ‘proofing’ stage, so that there aren’t any unintended spelling mistakes.
