Here at Lou Projects we specialise in building healthy, high quality, high performing homes. We’d like to thank the Master Builders Association for recognising this, and awarding us the winner of the ‘Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability’ category in the 2022 Newcastle Excellence in Building Awards.
This award helps us back our claim of being an energy efficient focused builder, and proves we have worked hard to ensure a quality product for our clients. It exemplifies the thoughtful, creative and ultimately energy efficient type of home we seek to build.
The award winning project was Branga House. The main intention of this renovation/extension was to improve both functionality and performance of the home. Envirotecture were the architects engaged for the design, and we collaborated closely with them on this project. We found the architects at Envirotecture amazing to work with – easy, thorough and equally as passionate.
The clients were another great highlight of this project. It was an absolute pleasure to work with clients who were focused on building something thoughtful, creative and above all, functional and energy efficient. At the end of the project, the clients were so appreciative and loved their new home, and it’s with great gratitude that the improvements in their comfort and wellbeing were inspiring enough to be recognised in this year’s awards.
Since Lou Projects began in 2018, we’ve had one major goal – to build better homes. We do this with a clear focus on energy efficient, comfortable and innovative designs. Our vision is to inspire a new generation of builders to exceed current standards and build healthier homes for our clients. We continue to immerse ourselves in readings, courses and webinars to soak up as much knowledge as possible. We do this so we can build high quality, energy efficient homes that are comfortable, enjoyable places to live, that can and will save money, water and energy as well.
