Measurable Momentum: Salmond Reed’s Success with ArchiPro

The Challenge: Visibility and Relevance in a New Era

While their reputation in architecture and heritage conservation is firmly established, the team recognised that perception needed to evolve, especially as their work increasingly includes new contemporary residential builds.

They also faced the typical constraints of a busy practice, with limited marketing bandwidth and difficulty measuring return on traditional marketing channels.

For a team focused on delivering excellence in every project, maintaining a consistent digital presence wasn’t always easy.

The Solution: Using ArchiPro to Tell a Broader Story

Salmond Reed’s profile on ArchiPro has become a central pillar in how the practice is perceived, both by prospective clients and industry peers. Their approach is thoughtful and strategic:

• Their About section is rich with detail, awards, and team bios
• Their project pages are beautifully presented and tagged with supplier products
• They’re actively involved in platform engagement, attending Drop-in Sessions and actioning recommendations

“We’re using ArchiPro to show the full scope of what we do,” says architectural graduate Cassidy Huang. “People know our heritage work - but we make sure to feature more of our residential work on the platform.”

Behind the scenes, tools like Analytics and ArchiPro Pixel have brought welcome clarity. “We were doing traditional publications that was hard to measure,” Philip reflects. “Now we can see what’s working. It’s really good.”

They’ve used platform data to shape not only their content strategy but even their broader digital presence. “I noticed how many people browse on mobile,” says Philip. “It made me rethink how our website performs on smaller screens.” Salmond Reed’s most recent Facebook Ad campaign through ArchiPro saw an excellent click rate of 6.87%, where the industry-standard benchmark for a healthy click rate is 2-5%, promoting their article ‘A grand design on a modest site, Waitematā View House blends the past in the present’ written by ArchiPro’s editorial team.

The Results: Less Guesswork, More Growth

ArchiPro has helped take the pressure off internal marketing, while offering a platform that amplifies their brand in ways they can manage, measure and trust.

“We’re architects, not natural marketing managers,” Philip says. “ArchiPro helps relieve the pressure a little bit.”

Cassidy agrees. “Our practice has twenty people. A lot of smaller to medium sized practices can’t afford to have a dedicated marketing person, so we have to wear multiple hats.”

For Salmond Reed Architects, staying visible, credible and connected isn’t about being everywhere. It’s about showing up in the right places, with the right message - consistently. “People see things in more than one place, and it registers - even if they’re not conscious of it,” shares Philip.
