Contemporary vs modern design: an interior styling guide

If you’ve developed a recent interest in interior design, perhaps with a view to redecorating your own home, you will have come across a number of different design styles each with its own unique qualities and characteristics. Two styles that sometimes cause confusion, due to their seemingly similar labels, are contemporary and modern design. While there are indeed some similarities, there are also clear distinctions between the two that can be discussed and explored.
