Introducing Lucy G. Artist Series Member

With over 20 years in the professional photography industry Lucy‘s background is in architecture & design and during her Auckland architecture degree she began experimenting with photography & made her own pinhole camera. Since those days she hasn’t looked back and is completely self-taught.

Lucy likes to experiment & push the boundaries of traditional photography & art and combines many photographic elements just like a painter uses a paintbrush in order to illustrate her visions. ‘’I treat photography like I treat art, there are no rules, it’s all an experiment…’’ Photo-montage, intentional camera movement, surreal digital painting & multi-layered works along with new AI technology are all areas of constant experimentation

Subject matters vary from beautiful florals to New Zealand landscapes, birds & abstract works.

Lucy specializes in printed glass splashbacks for kitchens & bathrooms www.lucygsplashbacks.co.nz and her glass splashbacks are sought after worldwide with many customers throughout New Zealand, Australia and the world. Her wall art business is also constantly evolving www.lucygdesign.com & large format high resolution giga-pan wall murals are an area of expertise.

Recently she is called on often by architects & designers to create large format graphics for ceiling & wall murals in new hospitals wards, MRI rooms, waiting areas & surgeries as the joyous nature of her work helps create atmospheres of optimism & hope in otherwise dull & anxious environments.
