Our supply partner, Chemetal, provides a remarkable selection of both genuine brass and brass-inspired options. The descriptions below will help you identify and select the brass that suits your project best. Chemetal offers a range of sought-after aged and antiqued brass designs. These creations are crafted in-house using a combination of hand and machine techniques, involving processes such as darkening, brushing, and finishing to achieve a stunning design material with consistent manufacturing quality.

All four designs are available in sheets measuring 2440 x 610 mm and 3050 x 610 mm. They are provided as “metal only,” or can be ordered with a low-pressure laminate backer. These exquisite aged metal designs can be worked with similar to standard laminates, utilising woodworking tools and lamination techniques, just like our entire product line.

Aluminium anodising involves utilising electrical currents and treatment baths to develop a protective layer on aluminium. This method is widely favoured for both indoor and outdoor applications. Furthermore, during the manufacturing process, colour pigments and brush finishes can be incorporated, allowing aluminium to resemble brass, copper, or other metals.

While not as luxurious as genuine brass, these alternatives are visually appealing, durable, lightweight, cost-effective, and available in 1220mm widths. To appreciate the subtle distinctions, it’s best to request samples.
