Our Team – Why We Love What We Do

Based at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, we’ve grown from humble beginnings in a backyard shed to a team of more than 80 people and a manufacturing plant that runs 24 hours a day.

That success is largely based on our commitment to the environment, and our unwavering focus on creating quality products and delivering superior service to the people we work with.

So, here’s a little insight into who we are and why we love what we do.

Our Team

Founded by Sunshine Coast couple Bob and Chris Cameron, Rockcote has always been a business focused on problem solving.

We started with the idea there was an opportunity to provide the construction industry with better alternatives and more options when it came to coating systems.

We also believed quality coatings and paint solutions needn’t cost the earth – that they could be inspired by nature and kind to it as well.

Now, Rockcote has a team of more than 80 people and is an employer of choice in the local region.

Our staff are an extension of our family business, and we strive to offer a nurturing place of work that is safe, inclusive, and aspirational.

Together, this commitment to our people, our customers, and the environment reflects in everything we do. From how we design and manufacture products to the way we do business and support our local community. 

Our Ethos

We whole heartedly live, breathe and believe in green living. Not only are our coatings inspired by nature, they are kind to the environment as well.

That’s because we believe people are at their best when they are in harmony with nature. We draw inspiration from the natural environment to create products and coatings that are beautiful, long lasting and are a key component to healthy, livable spaces.

We then apply this appreciation of the environment throughout our production process, ensuring our products are eco-friendly, and that their creation and use protects our environment, our communities, and our earth.

We believe that beautiful, long-lasting coatings and paints need not compromise when it comes to both quality and the environment.

Our products are created in consultation with the construction industry to ensure we offer solutions that are sustainable, accessible, and suited to the harsh Australian landscape.

Each of our products is rigorously tested, and we continue to improve and refine our offerings to ensure we provide the best coatings, systems, and processes to meet and exceed our customers’ needs.
