Redefining creative exterior and interior design Ambro Metals

In New Zealand, we’re always looking for new ways of reaching outside the box with our design. Now with EURAMAX pre-coated Aluminium products, Ambro Metals offers designers and architects tools that they’ve never had access to before. Adrian Ward from Ambro tells us more.

“EURAMAX covers it all!”
For the uninitiated, EURAMAX is the world leader for innovative pre-coating of Aluminium coil for architectural applications. There is an enormous amount of finishes spread over approximately eight different ranges, including textured surfaces, flip tones, pattern designs and more.

“From decor design finishes, to replications, to outstanding high-gloss and low-gloss metallic finishes, EURAMAX covers it all!” Ward says.

The entire EURAMAX range can be ordered with accessible minimum order quantities suitable for the varied size of New Zealand building projects. Even a reasonably large single dwelling can be customised with a finish chosen from potentially thousands of EURAMAX options.

“No-one provides anything quite like it,” Ward says. “There is enough scope within these ranges for designers to use EURAMAX products for external and internal architectural applications no matter what the design brief. We can keep up with global architecture.”

The scale and prestige associated with the use of EURAMAX worldwide should be a good metric of the kind of product that Ambro Metals is now bringing to the local market. It offers designers and architects unparalleled quality and customisation when they plan and create new architectural finishes.

Where has EURAMAX been used?
EURAMAX is currently in its early stages of use in New Zealand, but has a worldwide reputation for supreme quality and reliability in all environments. The advanced technology of its closed loop multi-layer coating lines enables EURAMAX to be brought into New Zealand to match and exceed that of any other painted metal finish currently available – either locally produced or imported.

The Meubilerings College in Rotterdam employs two different EURAMAX finishes in unison creating a truly unique visual effect.

There are a variety of New Zealand projects that have been successfully completed, and many more are either in planning, specified or under construction. Looking further abroad highlights some hugely impressive projects that have utilised EURAMAX bespoke finishes.

EURAMAX products were selected for the two largest colour coated projects in the world: KAIA (King Abdul Aziz International Airport) in Saudi Arabia and Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. The Ferrari World building covers an incredible 350,000 square metres, and is adorned with the Ferrari brand and colours. This project uses EURAMAX coated Aluminium as its surface protection in one of the harshest environments in the world. Like New Zealand, there is a severe coastal marine environment with wildly fluctuating temperatures, but the building also has to cope with the occasional abrasive sand storm as well.

The scale and prestige associated with the use of EURAMAX worldwide should be a good metric of the kind of product that Ambro Metals is now bringing to the local market. It offers designers and architects unparalleled quality and customisation when they plan and create new architectural finishes.

Filling a gap in the market
Is there room for this product in the New Zealand market? As Ward points out, EURAMAX actually fills a gap in our design landscape that has long been empty.

“We’re filling the empty middle ground in the roofing and cladding architectural market,” he says. “EURAMAX isn’t just a large variety of supreme high end finishes providing outstanding looks on a project. It can be affordable for both large-scale projects and residential homes.”

Using environmentally friendly water-based top coat systems, all EURAMAX products are free of heavy metals and chromates, adhering to strict EU controls which are more stringent than local regulations. These finishes use the highest quality multi layered water-based PVDF paint systems, not only offering the best level of corrosion protection of all painted architectural products in a coastal environment but also hugely expanding the range of colour finishes available for inland projects.

“It also opens up the creative aspect for designers, who have been limited to using single colours in the past” explains Ward. “The introduction of a price-competitive, exceptionally strong, globally respected brand will be a game changer for designers all over the country.”

Only available through Ambro Metals, a selected range of multi layered finishes with strong warranties is on hand ready for use in their Avondale warehouse, along with a team to assist with your specific project.

EURAMAX will offer you an unprecedented level of customisation in your design. “Don’t just use any product for your build, use EURAMAX – a leading European brand.”
