Rising to the Challenge

The heart of Sydney’s CBD pulses with life at all hours. At the heart of it, is Far East Organization’s 23-storey monolith, opposite the iconic Sydney Town Hall and St Andrew’s Cathedral.

At the end of 2020, Scope Projects in conjunction with commercial interior design company, Strutt Studios, was successfully appointed as design and construct partners. Infinity Commercial Furniture was tasked with providing the product and installation of all office furniture.

The brief was the refurbishment of 10 floors which will do away with the staid and traditional office spaces and convert them into vibrant and unique speculative suites. Each suite has to be different: from colour palettes, finishes and the furnishing’s shapes.

The first four floors have now been completed. The result is dynamic and uplifting office spaces that have been very cleverly created.

To ensure each floor was a perfect balance of functionality and form, Infinity Commercial Furniture worked with Strutt Studios to curate a selection of desk top finishes, powder coat colours and unique fabric selection. The result: a high-end bespoke fit-out maintained within the client’s budget.

Infinity Commercial Furniture’s Blaze Round Meeting Table top in Polytec Soft Walnut ravine and the disc base received a soothing coat of Dulux Duralloy Wilderness Satin. The plump Mello Lounges, with their white powder coated bases, complimented the overall softness of the space.

To convey an invigorating and fresh energy to each environment, a variety of timber tones were utilised. For example, one suite uses Frameless Screen Panels in Instyle Feel-Adventurous paired with Laminate Divider Screen Panel in Polytec Boston Oak Woodmatt.

Used in conjunction with pops of colour, the fitouts are anything but boring. Each product chosen, like the Candy Ottoman, is designed to promote the future of open office space environments. Pieces like these are flexible and can be moved around to suit the needs of whoever is working in that designated space.

Infinity Commercial Furniture has risen to the challenge as this is no ordinary speculative fitout. The Far East Organization refurbishment project is set to deliver inspirational and functional office environments that will raise the bar for all other work spaces.
