The warm and creative timber furniture and ceiling in the Wood Family Home, Auckland, was constructed by the client and the architect.
This distinctive corrugated iron-clad house in Arrowtown, central Otago, merges landscape and architecture. Its large, angled, sliding front door has been likened to a crevasse in the glaciers of the Southern Alps. 
With four children to test his ideas on, designing and making children’s furniture has become a specialty for Michael.
