Basking in the tranquillity of the hills behind Byron Bay, a holiday home was given a complete interior renovation to integrate it into its setting and create a serene, contemporary getaway for its owners.
The soft dusty blue wraps around both sides of the kitchen walls and contrasts serenely with the teal cabinetry.
The kitchen was completely reconfigured to optimise the space.
The casual living space adjacent to the kitchen.
The dining has now been moved to the far side of the upper floor, between the kitchen and formal lounge area.
Three simple pendants highlight the dining table.
The fireplace is an important new addition to the cosy lounge space.
The clerestory windows were framed with dark timber before the renovation, but have now been painted white to let the views shine.
All art, furniture and accessories were chosen to elevate the spaces and give the holiday home a friendly feel.
The same teal colour used on the kitchen cabinetry offers a stunning backdrop to the bed in the master bedroom.
The master ensuite is modern yet tactile with a stone counter top.
The wall behind the bed divides the room from the walk-in wardrobe behind it.
The outdoor living space was reinvigorated with new tiles and ceiling cladding.
The wall wrapping around the outdoor spaces was painted in a soft dirty pink and gives off a real holiday vibe.
The pool area was rejuvenated with new tiles and now looks like a resort.
