The advantage of the Viega press connection is not just its lightening-quick assembly. Its particularly high level of safety is also advantageous. All Viega press connectors are certified in accordance wth th DVGW and offer a unique safety factor with Viega SC-Contur.

Pressing with the safety factor:
The Viega SC-Contur guarantees that any inadvertently unpressed connectors become visible. This means that in a dry leakage test, the pressure-in cases of un-pressed connection falls visibly through the entire pressure range from 2.2 to 300 kPa. If the leakage test is carried out with water in a pressure range of 100 to 650 kPa, this will discharge visibly from inadvertently un-pressed connections.

Pressing: double holds better:

Press Technology requires just a few seconds of work. The Viega pressing tools make two press connections in one work stage – one in front of the bead and one behind it. For long lasting, permanent, torsion-resistant connections. Their high-quality sealing element is optimally protected against damage due to the cylindrical pipe design.

Comfort and safety with the central leakage test​:

If all connectors are fitted with the SC-Contur, the impermeability of the entire system can be monitored with a central leakage test. It is not necessary to visually inspect the individual connections. This means the effort and risk arising from the un-pressed connections are reduced to a minimum.

Low weight, compact dimensions, and premium power: the Pressgun 5 combines all benefits. Powered by battery or power pack, it easily presses all dimensions from 12 to 108mm and is, thus, one of the smallest light-weight press machines for XL press connections on the market.

• 180° rotatable press jaw fixture: Pipe barrels, pre-wall installations, and other hard-to-access points are no problem for the intelligent Pressgun 5. The 180° rotatable press jaw fixture and hinged press rings make every pressing point accessible.

• Light-weight and compact-only 3.2kg: Thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions, the Pressgun 5 makes pressing comfortable even in small spaces. The ergonomic gun-shaped handle ensures fatigue-free working.

• Integrated LED lamps: Particularly with pre-wall, ceiling, or floor construction, the pressing points are often badly illuminated. The LED lamps of the Pressgun 5 provide sufficient light for comfortable working at all times.

• 40,000 pressings: Premium Quality with low maintenance costs. Maintenance of the Pressgun 5 is not due until after 40,000 pressings or four years. An LED indicates well in advance that maintenance is required. After 42,000 pressings, the machine will switch off automatically. This ensures the highest possible safety at all times.

• One for all - the power pack: The power pack of the Pressgun 5 is also available separately, and compatible with the Pressgun Picco as well.

• Powerful battery: The battery-powered variant has a high-capacity 18 V/2.0 Ah battery with double capacity available as an option.

The Pressgun Picco proves that a small tool can have great technology. It comfortably and safely presses metal con­nectors from 12 to 35 mm and plastic connectors from 12 to 40 mm, which makes it a practical tool for all types of installations. The new press jaw with snap action furthermore allows for real one-hand operation during the entire pressing.

• 30,000 pressings: A service check for the Viega Pressgun Picco is not due until after 30,000 pressings or four years. After 32,000 pressings, the Pressgun Picco will switch off automatically. This ensures the highest possible safety at all times.

• The snap action: The Picco press jaw with snap action
  makes pressing even easier. The press jaw is opened manually, held open by a spring, and closed only after the start switch has been actuated for the first time. Once the press jaw is positioned correctly on the connector, the switch is actuated a second time to start pressing.

• Operation via battery or power pack: As an option to the powerful lithium ion rechargeable battery with excellent cold-start function, the Pressgun Picco can be operated via power pack.
