In 1957 Niko Kralj embarked on a six-month advanced study training programme in Sweden. While there he immersed himself in Scandinavian design culture and worked in Olaf Pirs design bureau. Three years later Kralj launched the now iconic 1960 Chair. The Utility Edition of Kraljs coveted 1960 chair strips the original design down to its bare essentials. The wooden frame has been replaced by a minimalist metal frame which embraces and aligns with Kraljs earlier more utilitarian work like the 1956 designed Shell chair.
