Mammoth acoustic blanket is designed to improve sound control and privacy through walls & midfloors in homes and offices.

Mammoth® polyester acoustic insulation (previously NOVAhush) is designed to help reduce sound transmission at all frequencies and performs as an acoustic infill material by providing sound absorption within the wall and midfloor cavity. As well as reducing noise transfer between rooms, Mammoth acoustic blanket also provides thermal insulation which will improve the energy efficiency of the space insulated.

Mammoth acoustic insulation is available in two forms: blankets and sections. Wall blanket insulation is best suited for long unimpeded wall cavities and can be stapled to the top dwang and extend between studs to fill the cavity.

Mammoth products contain recycled polyester fibres. Mammoth acoustic wall blanket insulation uses up to 4,300 recycled plastic bottles per 100sqm*.

Mammoth's acoustic range also includes Wall Sections, Bafflestack for between floors, Panel Absorber and Duct Liner Insulation.

  • 100% polyester carded insulation in a soft, roll-form to absorb noise and reduce sound transmission at all frequencies for walls and midfloors.

  • Lightweight and easy to handle - can easily be torn to length or cut with shears. Available in varying widths and lengths to suit most applications and is secured by stapling within the wall cavity. 
  • Safe, non-itch, odourless and non-toxic - no precautions are required for handling the product. 
  • Heat bonded - no glues or binders that can break down so it won't sag or settle over time. Red List Free - no formaldehyde or pesticides added. 
  • Unaffected by moisture, Mammoth insulation will continue to perform once dried out. Mammoth is moisture, mould and mildew resistant. 
  • Environmental Choice certified and NZ Green Building Council approved. 
  • Long lasting, Mammoth insulation is performance warranted for 50 years (T&Cs apply). Mammoth products are made in a zero waste production process and are fully recyclable. 
  • Mammoth 100% polyester acoustic insulation products have an Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) of zero.

Our Take-back Program

Talking about taking product back and making it our client’s problem to get it back to us is one thing, actively putting bins around the country and making it easier for our clients to recycle their offcuts is another.

We don’t believe it is good enough to say, get it back to our factory and we will recycle the product. We believe putting our hand up and sharing that responsibility is a necessity. That’s why we are proud to announce we have started the process of putting Mammoth recycling bins around the country. The first two locations, beyond our factory in Auckland, are Hamilton and Wellington. We encourage all Mammoth Insulation users to bring their clean offcuts back to these locations so we can avoid landfill and create a circular economy by recycling them.
