Celebrating the art of distillation, designers Yabu Pushelberg generously worked with time to refine Amanu to its most essential form, exuding purity and calmness.

Inspired by the Amanu atoll in French Polynesia, Amanu continues the collaboration between Tribù and design team Yabu Pushelberg. The collection marries comfort and sustainability in a timeless look inspired by interior quality and finish. The dining table keeps the light yet sturdy profile with a top formed of refined ceramic tiles suspended on an elegant teak frame.

Performance

The chairs feature woven, hemp-based Canax® sling seats, suspended within the pared-back teak frame, creating the illusion of a floating chair. The broad, ceramic tiles of the dining table seem to float on the discreet, yet sturdy teak frame, creating a remarkable lightness. The rounded edges of both the teak profiles and the outer ceramic tiles, convey a soft and harmonious look.

About the
Seller

For over 45 years the Dawson family and our wonderful staff have been filling homes with designer furniture sourced from New Zealand and abroad. We travel extensively, collaborating with our manufacturing partners to ensure we bring the best value product we can find. Our philosophy is simple - to showcase great quality, honest furniture from brilliant craftspeople in a welcoming environment.

How do we achieve this?

We are extremely lucky to have fostered strong relationships with renowned international furniture brands and designers including Molteni & C, Timothy Oulton, Dedon and Tribu. Buying directly from international suppliers enables us to remove the added layers of costs and complexity so we can pass the savings on to the consumer.

What is great quality?

We believe it is a fine balance of design and materials. That is why prior to adding any product collections we meet the artisans in their workshops and factories anywhere they manufacture around the world, which involves us spending up to 3 months a year travelling to Asia and Europe. All too often we have been shown cheaper items but they turn out to be inferior. All our staff are highly trained professionals who can tell you about our furniture in detail.
