Embodying the concept that design should follow construction, Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken’s Arbour is assembled from separate components that have been independently produced for optimal comfort, quality, and efficiency. This sofa was developed with an intention to create a durable sofa that would qualify for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel within the European market, and it features FSC-certified wood for the frame and EU-Ecolabelled upholsteries for the Eco version. The seat and cushions are made in carefully balanced proportions, with identical side cushions creating a sense of harmony and offering the opportunity for multiple comfortable sitting or lying positions, while the frame creates a strong yet elegant profile with an architectural quality. With its logical construction and uncluttered design language, Arbour fuses its distinctly Scandinavian aesthetics with high comfort and great durability. Approved EU-Ecolabelled textiles for the Nordic Swan Ecolabelled Arbour- Atlas, Remix, Surface By Hay, Fiord, Steelcut, Steelcut Trio, Melange Nap, Divina, Divina Md, Divina Melange, Re-Wool, Canvas, Hallingdal, Lila, Raas and Vidar.

About the
Seller

Established in 1997, Cult (formerly Corporate Culture) formed to provide not only exceptional designer furniture, but also a high level of customer service, a combination not yet experienced in the Australian marketplace.

In his endeavours since then, company founder and director Richard Munao has built one of the most comprehensive collections of brand partners in Australia and New Zealand. Cult has grown from its first location in Sydney to now include showrooms in Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland as well as distributors in Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

In addition to founding Cult, and supporting strong international partners like Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen & Son, &Tradition, HAY and Gubi, Richard is actively involved in discovering and mentoring emerging Australian and New Zealand design talent. As founder of Cult’s Design Journey Competition, which began in 2004, Richard gives designers throughout Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to have their designs prototyped and put into production.

Cult.

Design first.
