Basalt is a volcanic stone that is formed from cooled lava and is formed in Columns. Basalt is one of the most common natural stones to be found throughout the world

Due to the cooling of the lava basalt can get small to large holes running through this material, these can be small like pinpricks, or larger, and can be referred to as “cat paws”. This look creates a natural variation from stone to stone.
