Buckwheat hull
Out of stock

Buckwheat hulls, or husks, are the woody shells that protect buckwheat seeds. (Not to be confused with microwavable Buckwheat seed heat pillows.) They are 100% organic, grown and washed by Terrace Farms in Canterbury, New Zealand.

These pillows are very firm and very stable. And very cool in summer because the open structure of the hulls allows air to circulate through the pillow.

Buckwheat hulls have been used in pillows in Korea and Japan for centuries.

Buckwheat husk cushions or 'zafu' are popular for meditation as they remain cool during sittings and aid a stable posture. These zafu are available from Dharma Gear, New Zealand.
