Elio Sofa
Elio, designed by Canadian design firm Yabu Pushelberg, is characterised by a softly rounded silhouette that draws inwards to create a cocoon effect. The armchair, easy chair, high-back lounge chair and two-seater are framed by natural teak, which supports the seating shell. The seats are handwoven in Tricord rope.
Multiple soft shades of yarn are woven into one strand, which mimics the hues of natural light and makes each chair unique. The handwoven seat in weather-resistant Tricord rope, draws inward to create a warm, intimate cocoon effect.

We hold a selection of our top-selling items in stock from the brands we work with including dining chairs, stools, dining tables, sofas, coffee tables, side tables, dining, outdoor furniture, and outdoor umbrellas. These can normally be ready for dispatch from our Auckland warehouse within 3 - 4 days after receiving payment.
Made to order and International items
Given the breadth of range and the customization options available on a number of our items, holding stock is not an option beyond our best sellers. As a high proportion of our collections are made overseas, there are varying lead times depending on production times, country of origin, shipping, seasonality, and other factors outside of our control. We will provide you with an estimated lead time at time of enquiry and provide you with regular updates once an order has been placed, produced, shipped, and available for delivery.

For over 45 years the Dawson family and our wonderful staff have been filling homes with designer furniture sourced from New Zealand and abroad. We travel extensively, collaborating with our manufacturing partners to ensure we bring the best value product we can find. Our philosophy is simple - to showcase great quality, honest furniture from brilliant craftspeople in a welcoming environment.
How do we achieve this?
We are extremely lucky to have fostered strong relationships with renowned international furniture brands and designers including Molteni & C, Timothy Oulton, Dedon and Tribu. Buying directly from international suppliers enables us to remove the added layers of costs and complexity so we can pass the savings on to the consumer.
What is great quality?
We believe it is a fine balance of design and materials. That is why prior to adding any product collections we meet the artisans in their workshops and factories anywhere they manufacture around the world, which involves us spending up to 3 months a year travelling to Asia and Europe. All too often we have been shown cheaper items but they turn out to be inferior. All our staff are highly trained professionals who can tell you about our furniture in detail.
