Gaggenau Glass Downdraft Table Ventilation 200 Series
The 200 Series Gaggenau Glass Downdraft Table Ventilation, effectively and discreetly, prevents steam, heat and vapour from permeating an open-plan setting. Embedded within the counter, along the top edge of your large induction cooktop, both black appliances blend into one even as the transparent screen emerges.
The open kitchen concept, whereby the kitchen and living space become one, demands exceptional ventilation to prevent steam, heat and vapour permeating the open-plan setting. However, a large extractor doesn’t necessarily fit the design aesthetic of your entertainment space.
The table ventilation 200 series is the solution. Embedded within the counter, it is discreetly placed along the top edge of your large induction cooktop, the black appliances blending into one. Unseen until it emerges, the extractor’s discretion continues; it is utterly transparent. Clearing the air and the view of the cooktop even enlightens with ambient illumination.
Extracting, recirculating, guiding the air
The table ventilation utilises Guided Air technology; additional airflow behind the screen that captures more vapour in front of the screen. This innovation increases the air extraction, from pans anywhere on the cooktop.
Control the air
Available in 80 cm and 90 cm width options, it is flush-fitted and harmonises with our large, frameless, induction and full surface induction cooktops. Home Connect enabled, controllable via compatible cooktops, it can be set to automatically detect and remove vapour, even after cooking, allowing you to concentrate on the cuisine.
Valuable drawer space is saved and installation is simplified as only one cut-out is needed. When in re-circulation mode, we can guarantee the efficient removal of odours using activated charcoal filters. For maintenance, these and the dishwasher-safe grease filters, are easily removable from the top.

Planning Notes
- Compatible with 80cm frameless cooktops 400 series (CX 482) or 200 series (CI 282), in a single worktop cut-out.
- For installation in a single worktop cut-out the installation accessory VA200080 must be placed between the appliances. This includes a connection strip and furniture supports that ensure cabinet stability.
- The table ventilation can be installed in the cabinet or between two (e.g. for an island installation deeper than 100 cm).
- No upper cabinets should be installed above the table ventilation to maintain optimum performance.
- The following distance should be observed:- 50 cm left and right of the table ventilation to the wall or neighbouring tall cabinets.- 5 cm from the table ventilation frame to the wall.
- Installation is possible in worktops made of stone, synthetics or solid wood. Heat resistance and watertight sealing of the cut edges must be observed. Concerning other materials please consult the worktop manufacturer.
- To install the fan unit at a distance, an installation kit AA200910 is required (with spare covers for closing air outlets). Maximum distance 3 m.
- In air extraction, a one-way flap with a maximum opening pressure of 65 Pa should be installed.
- In air extraction mode, always ensure adequate fresh air in the room if the appliance is being operated at the same time as a chimney-vented fireplace.
- For optimum performance in air recirculation we recommend an outflow surface area of at least 440 cm².
- For air recirculation, an air recirculation module (AA200880 or AA200882) is required.
