The award-winning design of the Herschel iQ MKW Mains Powered WiFi Thermostat is ideal for new builds / renovations where cabling can be neatly hidden whether it be for domestic or commercial applications and can control temperatures of up to 45°C. When used in conjunction with your WiFi network and the SmartLife App, MKW can run in fully programmable ‘Smart Mode’ enabling you to manage your heating as efficiently as possible whether you are home or away.

MKW is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heaters and requires recessing into the wall or can be surface-mounted to the wall with a back box.

The MKW thermostat will operate your Herschel heater(s) by turning them on if the room temperature is lower than the desired temperature and turning them off once the desired temperature is reached. The MKW is easy to operate via the SmartLife App or via push buttons and incorporates the latest EcoDesign energy-saving features including Herschel’s open window technology.

MKW has a keypad locking feature (available from the App) to prevent unauthorised tampering making it suitable for commercial applications such as hotels, care homes, student accommodation and let properties.  The MKW is a 16 amp thermostat enabling up to 3.6 kW of Herschel heaters to be connected. They can be used with the Inspire, Select XLS or Herschel space heating range.

If using the MKW with the Select XLS panel range the SMART-R function of the XLS panel will be bypassed. The thermostat will have to be hard-wired directly to the heater as well as the mains. (It is not possible to pair wirelessly with the panel).
