Bold, dramatic, and undeniably luxurious. Marquina Quartzite is a statement piece carved by nature. Its deep, midnight-black canvas is veined with striking white and silver threads, evoking the raw power of lightning slicing through a moonlit sky. This natural stone offers an exquisite balance of strength and sophistication, making it the perfect centerpiece for modern, industrial, or high-contrast spaces.
Quartzite is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock that begins as pure quartz sandstone. Through intense heat and pressure, often linked to tectonic forces within mountain ranges, sandstone transforms into quartzite. Typically, pure quartzite is white to grey, but it can also display a variety of colours, including shades of pink and red from hematite, or yellow, green, blue, and orange from other minerals, adding to its natural beauty.
Renowned for its durability, quartzite is harder than marble, making it resistant to scratches, heat, and etching. This resilience makes it ideal for countertops, flooring, and high-traffic areas. Its natural beauty and strength make quartzite perfect for a wide range of applications, from kitchen surfaces to wall cladding. Additionally, quartzite is easy to maintain with regular sealing, offering lasting elegance with minimal effort.
