Versatile and forever popular, the NZ Pine sleepers are well suited for a broad range of outdoor applications, and ideal for cutting and modifying on-site.
Suited for large-scale, cost-effective coverage and where ongoing continuity is sought. Preservation treatment historically applied so not for interior use, steps near interiors, seats, or where contact is probable. Lining such as polythene can be used for edible gardens or planters.
Standard Grade - Standard issue ex-NZ rail network Pine sleepers offer decent continuity in form and weathering. Top and a side are generally square; stone indentations, chips and splits likely present. Ex-rail steel and boltholes possible.
Historic treatment may be visible; typically a wide range of weathering and colouring, pending the sleepers prior location and function.
Landscape Grade - Possibly the most cost-effective sleepers available. Bundles generally contain a couple of broken sleepers, splits, cracks and chips and possible decay. Best suited for passive applications requiring low integrity like edging, small planters or anywhere spanning coverage is required.
COLOUR: Mid to light brown with historic treatment and varied surface weathering
DIMENSIONS: 2100mm x 200mm x 150mm (+/- 10mm)

DURABILITY: Historically Creosote treated, H5 equivalent
TREATMENT: Class 2
Outdoor, passive installations.
Varied colouring and weathering between whole bundles is typical, due to the sleepers prior geographical location and rail function.
Not recommended for use in or near interiors due to (possible) ex-rail grime. Polythene lining is advised for use around edible gardens.
