Magnificent reproduction of a sandstone amulet, hand-carved by our craftsmen, representing an Oudjat, a protective symbol in ancient Egypt. This symbol has its origins in Egyptian mythology: Horus, son of Isis and Osiris, fought his uncle Seth to avenge his father. During the battle, Seth tore out his eye, cut it into pieces and threw it into the Nile. The eye was then reconstituted, creating the Œil Oudjat.

This eye had a magical function, linked to the prevention of disease and the vision of the invisible. Protective against bad luck, it was depicted on sarcophagi, pectorals and used during mummification.

Now displayed on a museum-style pedestal, it's a magnificent Unusual Curiosity!
