Ronde Pendant by GUBI
Cult Design
The Ronde Pendant is Oliver Schick's first product for Gubi. The bell-shaped piece harks back to the designs of the 1970s, but with a modern twist. A unique detail is the opening on the top with an overhanging collar that is reminiscent of a jar. It is made from hand-turned aluminum with an ultra-matt lacquer, making it look as if it were made from ceramic. Ronde is in several languages the word for 'round', but it is also the flat blank used for a metal spinning technique.
