Fortunately, the new Elementi range of Sensor Tapware provides a practical solution that’s suitable for Residential, Healthcare and Commercial applications.

A standard Infra-Red sensor may struggle with Black/White coloured targets or reflective materials due to its limited technology, whereby it measures the distance of the target by how bright the light is. The new patented Time of Flight Sensor that features CBS (Colour Background Suppression) technology overcomes this by emitting particles of light with the receiver counting how long the particles take to bounce back. This method is used to work out how far the target is based on the speed the light travels. Resulting in greater precision, accurate detection and more efficient tapware operation.
