A set of three mid century French gilded brass occasional nesting tables in the style of Maison Bagues. The tables have fluted uprights with wonderful antiqued eglomised glass tops. These nests of tables are so handy to pull out for when your guests arrive to place their drinks and nibbles on. These are wonderful quality and will make a statement in either a contemporary or a more traditional interior. According to Wikipedia, eglomise is “from the French term meaning glass gilded, is a process where the backside of the glass is gilded with gold or metal leaf using a gelatin adhesive. The result is a mirror-like, reflective finish in which designs are then engraved. The technique dates back to the pre-Roman eras, but its name is derived from 18th century French decorator and art-dealer Jean-Baptise Glomy (1711–1786) who is responsible for its re-popularization.”
