Siesta Sofa Base with Latex Core Futon is supportive and can be used as an every night bed but the Siesta Frame offers three different options so you can also use this as a day bed or sofa. The coloured canvas cover is made from a durable cotton canvas and can easily be taken off for washing. The colours shown are an indication only.

The Siesta Sofa Bed is our most versatile sofa bed and it easily transforms from a sofa to lounger to a full sized bed. With its space saving features, the Siesta Sofa Bed Frame is perfect for the guest room, kid's bedroom or apartment.

The Siesta Sofa bed works best with our Cotton and Wool Futon for a comfortable sofa and recliner that can be used as an occasional bed, or the Latex Core Futon for a every night sleeping solution. Pair it with one of our colored canvas removable (and machine washable!) futon covers and this will be the best sofa bed you have ever owned.

Supportive and comfortable with a simple design
The Latex Core Futon is our most popular futon. A middle layer of latex provides great support while two layers of cotton batting and two layers of wool blend creates a breathable and comfortable mattress, great for every night sleep. We use polywool as a standard to increase the longevity of this mattress. If you prefer only natural wool and cotton we are able to do this, however, note that this will make your futon compact quicker.

CareThe Latex Core Futon provides great support and works great as an every night mattress. We recommend flipping your futon once every week to keep its even texture and allow the materials to breathe.
Three styles in one base
The Siesta Sofa Bed features three different positions and easily transforms from standard height sofa to reclined deck chair to full-size bed. You simply pull the base out to create the bed or fold it together for a sofa. Versatile yet simple, the Siesta Sofa Bed works just as well on the balcony as in a studio apartment.
Made in New Zealand
The Siesta Sofa Bed is made from New Zealand plantation grown pine and finished with a natural oil finish to protect the wood. We build this base in our workshop in Oratia. As a bed, the 11cm base height allows plenty of airflow around your mattress.
Compatible with
The Siesta Sofa Bed is compatible with the Cotton and Wool Futon for a soft feel or the Latex Core Futon for a firmer, more supportive feel.
