CAST LIGHTING

Cast Lighting specialises in handcrafted timber pendants and luminaires, using materials evocative of the Aotearoa Landscape. Pared back, sculptural and honest construction, using recycled and sustainably sourced materials.

Every item is designed and made with care, using locally sourced materials and traditional tools. Each pendant is unique, with subtle differences revealed through timber colour and grain variation. No two pendants are exactly the same.

I have always been a maker.

My lighting has evolved through my experience in landscape design and construction, sculpture, and joinery over the past 30 years.

Being surrounded by the dynamic landscape of the South Island of New Zealand has been hugely influential and an inspiration for my creativity.

I love nothing more than to envision a concept, make a prototype, tweak and test, before finalising a design.

Cast Lighting is all about my affinity with the Aotearoa landscape, design and making.
