If you're looking for a feature piece of glass with texture, pattern and/or an image then think about using slumped glass. You can have one, two or all three incorporated into the glass for maximum effect.

Combine that with being able to paint the glass any Resene or Dulux colour, then you have a stunning splashback solution.

The process of slumping texture and patterns into sheets of glass involves intense heat to soften the glass sufficiently for it to melt over and into specially prepared molds. The molds can be a variety of materials and have been hand crafted and then selected for the characteristics they impart. The mold imparts a textural surface on one side leaving the other smooth, glossy but not flat.
