Introducing our new PDL Fire Tek® Smoke Alarms

Discover our newly enhanced PDL Fire Tek® Photoelectric Smoke Alarms. Our Fire Tek range, designed to detect smouldering fires (the most common and high-risk type of home fire), have been updated to offer:

  • Dual emission smoke chambers for improved detection performance and less false alarms.
  • The choice of a replaceable battery or 10-year lithium battery back-up
  • An improved, more robust curved design for an unobtrusive look
  • An upgraded Relay Base accessory with clearer operational markings and a 10-year lifetime fixed installed battery.

Discover PDL's New Heat Alarm Solution

While smoke alarms are vital for home safety, they can be prone to false alarms in garages, laundries, and pantries; where dust, steam, and fumes are common. In these environments, the NCC allows the use of heat alarms, which detect rapid temperature increases instead of airborne particles. This keeps your home safe without false alarms.

Compatible with existing PDL Smoke Alarm bases, the new Fire Tek® Heat Alarm offers wireless interconnection with other PDL Smoke Alarms and includes a 10-year lithium battery backup (230V mains powered).

Wiser Smart Smoke Alarm

Interconnecting with existing wireless Fire Tek® smoke alarms, the Wiser Smart Smoke alarm comes in two varieties; either as battery powered or a 240V hardwired unit. It also comes in two shapes: round and square. It can also be used separately or as part of the Wiser Smart Home system.

The Wiser by SE app provides push notification alerts if smoke is detected as well as an optional test reminder alert and battery status indicator.

Automations can also be programmed in the Wiser by SE app to trigger lights to come on or flash for faster warning if smoke is detected.
