A calm, sculptural water feature designed to sit naturally in the garden.

The Hanmer Water Feature in its new cylinder form brings quiet movement and warmth to outdoor spaces. Crafted from raw corten steel, it develops a rich, natural patina over time, grounding it beautifully among planting, stone, and timber.

Water gently wells up from the centre and flows across the surface, creating a subtle ripple effect that’s soothing rather than showy. It’s designed to be enjoyed up close — as a focal point in a garden, courtyard, or outdoor living area.

At 800mm in diameter and 500mm high, the Hanmer has real presence without overpowering the space. The solid construction gives it weight and stability, while the simple cylindrical form keeps the design timeless.

Simple, self-contained setup

The Hanmer is supplied complete with a water pump. Installation is straightforward: place the pump in the reservoir, feed the cord through the standpipe, fill with water, plug in, and switch on. No plumbing required.

All Tiny Anvil corten water features are treated with a linseed oil coating to help keep the water clear as the steel settles. During the initial run-in period, water may not flow evenly across the surface — this is normal. Allow it to run for 24–48 hours and it will even out naturally. We recommend reapplying linseed oil when cleaning the pump, approximately every 9–12 months.

Scope of use

The Hanmer Water Feature is designed as a self-contained, decorative outdoor water feature for residential and light commercial settings.

It is suitable for placement in gardens, courtyards, patios, and outdoor living areas where a calm visual and acoustic water element is desired. The feature sits at ground level and is intended to be enjoyed as a sculptural focal point within planting, gravel, paving, or landscape design.

The unit operates using a submersible electric pump housed within the internal reservoir. No fixed plumbing is required. Installation involves filling the reservoir with water, connecting the pump via a standard outdoor power supply, and switching on. Ongoing operation requires periodic topping up of water levels, particularly in warmer or windy conditions.

The Hanmer Water Feature is manufactured from corten steel, which develops a natural patina over time. A linseed oil coating is applied to help stabilise the surface and keep water clear during use. As the feature beds in, water flow may initially be uneven and will naturally balance after continuous operation.

Suitable applications

  • Residential gardens and courtyards
  • Outdoor living and entertaining areas
  • Landscape design projects
  • Entry features and visual focal points
  • Light commercial spaces such as hospitality courtyards or office gardens

Limitations and exclusions

  • Not designed for indoor use
  • Not suitable for use as a pond or for aquatic life
  • Requires access to an outdoor power supply
  • Not intended for high-traffic public areas without supervision or protective planning
  • Surface runoff during initial weathering should be considered when placing near light paving or surfaces

The Hanmer Water Feature is best used in environments where natural material ageing is embraced and where routine, low-maintenance care is acceptable as part of long-term outdoor use.
