Travertine - Deluxe
Travertine is a travertine from Turkey, 30mm honed finish. This subtle gold & cream stone has typical travertine banding.
Travertine is formed from limestone deposits from mineral springs, as this is layered over time, it can have a striped or banded appearance with different colours appearing as the layers are formed over time. Often used for building, some notable examples are the Colosseum, Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Paris and the Getty centre in Los Angeles.
Often used in cladding, flooring and construction, this is a versatile stone. Quite often it is porous due to CO2 bubbles formed as the calcium carbonate is deposited. Travertine will give a distinctive look to any installation.
