Kris Van Puyvelde is one of the founders and home designer of the outdoor brand Royal Botania. In 1992, decided ex-classmates Kris Van Puyvelde and Frank Boschman to import into Antwerp teak outdoor furniture from Indonesia. Both engineers considered the quality available on the market to be too low and too traditional and decided to start their own line.

Characterised by superior design and quality, Royal Botania was born. Almost 20 years after the birth, Royal Botania employs more than 800 employees. More than 50 people work in their headquarters near Antwerp, where goods from a 100.000m3 large warehouse to be sent to customers from around the world.
