Porter’s Paints Stone Paint is an ideal choice for exteriors and interiors. Providing texture, durability and exceptional colour fade resistance. Porter's Paints Stone Paint is absolutely matt, providing a uniform finish that does not age or streak and hides surface imperfections, whilst delivering the appearance of softness that comes with completely matt paints.

Available in “Fine” or “Coarse” texture, Stone Paint Fine contains marble dust, creating a Fine stone-like finish where Stone Paint Coarse contains particles of graded quartz and has a coarse texture finish similar to cement bagging. This product is UV resistant, dirt resistant with low odour.

Scope of use

Porter's Paint Stone Paint is suitable for exterior or interior areas, it can be applied to most suitably prepared plasterboard, plaster, wood, masonry and previously painted surfaces. The durable nature of the paint plus easy touch-up makes it perfect for high traffic areas like hotel foyers or residential entranceways.

Porter's Paints Stone Paint Fine has a place in heritage restoration but is equally suitable as a feature finish for domestic homes or shop-fit, where texture creates interest and a feeling of warmth.

Porter’s Paints history starts in 1982, when Sydney house painter Peter Lewis began making traditional lime washes in a small garage in Randwick, after having discovered old paint recipes in his grandfather Fred Porter's diaries.

Fred Porter was a builder, and it was during his European travels that he collected details of building techniques and paint finishes.

It was shortly after his death that Peter discovered the diaries, found the recipes for traditional paints and decided to produce improved versions.
