About us
Based in Sydney, Australia, Anderson Architecture was established in 2002 under the direction of architect Simon Anderson.
The practice has experience working on a range of project types, specialising in the design and realisation of sustainable, high quality residential projects. We have a team of experienced architects who manage our projects from design to construction.
A philosophy of humanising contemporary architecture and connecting with nature are integral to all our projects. This, in combination with a collaborative approach to clients, attention to detail and an emphasis on site specific design characterise the practice’s approach to architecture.
Sustainability
Sustainable design, resilience, adaptability, and health and well-being, are at the heart of Anderson Architecture’s practice. You will find this design ethos present within each and every one of their designs, regardless of size, scope and budget.
All projects incorporate a combination of traditional and contemporary sustainability principles, including cross-ventilation, sunlight access and control, and the use of sustainable and thermally efficient building materials. The team also uses thermal modelling to develop their designs, always aiming to strike a balance between energy and cost efficiency. Anderson Architecture specialises in designing and delivering sustainable architecture in extreme conditions as well as inner city suburbs.
