Anderson Architectural Design is a home design firm, with a passion for clever construction and creative flair.

Jason Anderson enjoys working closely with clients to bring their dream homes to life, combining clients' ideas and requirements with his knowledge of contemporary architectural design and New Zealand building regulations to create stylish, comfortable, smart houses that are sympathetic to their environment.

As a qualified architectural designer, Jason has worked on hundreds of projects from standard suburban first homes to multi-million-dollar residences and geographically challenging builds in remote locations throughout Marlborough and Tasman, including some in Tauranga, Queenstown and Wanaka.

Growing up in Blenheim observing his parents build houses, and recently designing and building his own home with his wife Paige, Jason has developed a wealth of experience communicating with builders and trades people and a solid understanding of the construction industry.

Using the latest in architectural design software, he is able to deliver three dimensional imagery of buildings on site, so you can see how your dream home will look once it’s completed.

He totally embraced our project and it was quite clear he was very passionate about it from the very first time when we showed him the site that we were considering buying. Never at any stage did he ever back away from his commitment to us even after it passed the stage where he needed to be involved. We met Jason Anderson through Signature Homes Nelson, whom we’d commissioned to design and build a custom home in 2016. From our first site meeting Jason’s vision, energy and innate passion for clean, strong design was evident. Clearly he is a talented designer and importantly, we sensed that he 'genuinely cared' and he ‘got us’. This was an excellent starting point to an exciting project.
Our design phase took several twists and turns over ensuing months to weave our extensive ‘wish list’ into a raft of covenants, caveats and engineering restrictions - all of course within budget. Jason navigated everything quickly, efficiently and effortlessly and our council building consent submission went through flawlessly. We ‘broke ground’ today (Oct. 2017) and look forward to watching Jason’s design and our dream ‘come to life’ in the coming months. At all phases Jason has delivered with pride and passion. am a kiwi, have been married to Jo for 34 years. We have 5 adult children. Until recently we were based in Dubai where we lived for 25 years. I was a pilot with Emirate Airlines.

We returned to NZ at the end of 2017. We bought a small vineyard just outside Blenheim and decided to build a new house on the property. We had a fair idea of the kind of place we wanted. Even so, an architectural designer was required.

It was Jo who found Jason. He initially seemed pretty bloody young to me but we decided to give him ago and it proved to be a good move. What I particularly like about Jason was the enthusiasm he showed. He was as excited, if not more excited, than me and Jo. Changes to the design were constantly made. He never complained. He provided us with options but never pushed them on us. He listened.

The whole process was a very professional and enjoyable experience. His fee was as good as you will get anywhere in his industry. I have no hesitation in recommending Jason Anderson to anyone who is in need of the services of an architectural designer.

Jason, we have just spent our first 3 nights at our new bach and are really stoked. The design and build has exceeded our already high expectations. Your input into the design and dealing with the building consent process is very much appreciated. We haven't had any issues with MDC. Despite the fact our bach is located in the Pelorus Sound and has no road access the whole building process has been virtually stress free. This is largely due to the design plus great builders.
