Site Consultation

We will meet with you on site to discuss the possibilities for your home and go over your wish list. Meeting on site allows us to better anticipate logistics, planning and different options for your project.

Brief and Design

Once we have discussed your vision and wish list, we will recommend an architect or designer that is best suited to your needs. We will then work as a team to create the best suited design for you. If you already have plans at this stage, we can prepare a preliminary estimate of costs for you.

Preliminary

This includes the pre-building checklist as well as liaising with the required professionals such as architects and engineers to get your project off the ground. This includes a detailed costing analysis by us (for a nominal fee) and is yours to keep.

Contract

We will prepare a contract for you to review and sign, then arrange a start and completion date for the project. After contract signing, we will provide a construction timeline and payment schedule for you to review and confirm.

Fixture selections

Working with us, you will make the selections required for the start of construction. We will take you through the options for fixtures and finishing’s to incorporate into your home. When you are satisfied with the design, we finalise the documentation for construction, including working drawings and engineering design.

Construction

Once consents have been issued from council then building can commence. Our project manager will oversee construction to ensure our standards for materials and workmanship are met. During the construction phase we will schedule weekly site meetings with you to keep you informed and up to date with progress.

Handover

We want you to love your new home. Before handover, we will complete a final walkthrough together to identify anything that needs attention, ensuring that you are happy with all aspects. Once completed a final council inspection is booked and once passed all compliance documents are collected and submitted and Code compliance certificate is issued. You are then a proud owner of a new Avid Build.

Maintenance

We are committed to ensuring your home is the best it possibly can be. We schedule maintenance visits at three months and one year after handover to make sure your house is still quality after a full year of weather and use.

The Avid Build team has experience working on hundreds of homes and are also passionate property developers, meaning we try and test different building practices on our own homes, giving peace of mind that we will only advocate for systems and products we know work well.
