About

Our architecture is about simple things executed beautifully. While our buildings may look different to each other, they all embody the same principles of sensual experience, sustainability, honesty of materials, construction credibility and distinction.

We are positive, responsive, and easy to work with. We gauge success by consistently developing successful ongoing relationships with those involved in our projects. We understand that an important part of our role is leading, motivating and igniting a sense of ownership across the design team. Experience has taught us that best results are achieved when all stakeholder contexts are aligned, communication is open and clear, expert input is integrated accurately, and mutual respect is won.

There is little room for ego at BMA. Our design process is genuinely collaborative, with Project Directors engaging with our broadly skilled and experienced team of 15 staff to deliver richly diverse and unique projects every time.

We also actively promote working in a collaborative environment with our clients, authorities, consultants, builders, suppliers and other team members to arrive at are fined, efficient and beautiful result.

We value not only innovative and inspirational design at a project’s inception, but rigour, clarity and accuracy during our design development, documentation, tender and construction processes.

We are skilled in the art of balancing aspirations and pragmatics, and consider cost, programme and build ability integral to the design development process. We test our design decisions against these parameters regularly and actively promote the same within the design team.

We are successfully engaged in a broad range of project types and scales, including houses, urban housing, commercial and industrial projects, and resort hospitality.

ROBINSONS RUN
2022

We have fond memories enjoying Robinson’s Run with our kids as they grew up and saw an opportunity to capture those memories and start a new chapter in its history. Our vision was for a beautiful, responsible, and uniquely Australian house where friends could gather and enjoy the luxuries of open space and downtime. We love the Australian bush and wanted the house to capture its raw sensations, celebrate the landscape, and encourage guests to experience the elements. The house nurtures, protects and excites as you experience the spaces, and the raw, reclaimed and textured materials enhance the journey.

LEICHHARDT HOUSE
2019

Given a brief to explore the possibility of applying the Complying Development Housing Code to our property, Bennett Murada delivered an outstanding design concept that challenged our thinking but provided the best use of space on a small Inner Sydney block. The end result has delivered us an amazing new family home that has exceeded all expectations, whilst not being imposing, yet architecturally beautiful. As a team Bennett Murada were along side us throughout the whole design process and also asssited is during construction by reinforcing our ideas whilst maintaining the foundation of the design. We could not recommend more highly Bennett Murada for any future architectural projects.

TAMARAMA HOUSE
2019

I have always felt a deep connection with Sydney’s rocky coastline and beaches. At Tama, I saw an opportunity to create a peaceful haven for my time in Sydney, an environment aligned with my active lifestyle, and eventually, a place to raise a family. My brief was for a timeless home that contributed positively to the neighbourhood. I wanted to experience both expansive, breathtaking moments and quiet, private ones. The design rigour, build quality and sustainability exceed all expectations. But mostly, I love the experience of living in this house, and sharing this with family and friends.
