I have contracted Luke Monahan (Buildtek Projex Ltd) on two occasions now, firstly to add a fourth bedroom to our home in Matua and secondly to construct a purpose built AirBNB apartment above our independent garage and workshop. Both of these jobs were constructed efficiently and the workmanship was excellent.

Luke is a very fussy builder when it comes to finishing and his attention to detail is very good which is so important when you are doing any sort of building. Luke is very easy to get on with and will go the extra mile for you. He employs some very good builders to assist him on the big projects. I have no hesitation in recommending Luke to any person who is looking for a good quality builder.

We contacted Buildtek at the very last minute for some building alterations. Luke managed to juggle things around his end and turned up early the next day. The work was done quickly, cleanly and with the minimum of interuption to our workflows. When he left, everything was actually cleaner than before he started. We were very happy with the work and highly recommend Buildtek Projex.

We wanted a bay window removed from our brick house and replaced with a French door. We had a few builders quote and decided on Buildtek Projex because Luke knew what he was talking about and gave us the options to do the job properly. He was there on time every day and even came to finish the job on a Saturday. He is very professional and has pride in his work. The job was done quickly, with no fuss and is of a high standard. I’ve just had some work done by Luke owner of Buildtex and I couldn’t be happier with the job, he turned up on time, stuck to his quote even after coming across a couple of unforeseen problems, his finishing was at a very high standard (and i’m a very fussy bastard), he even clean up when the job was complete which in my recent experience with tradies this is very rare, even had a great sense of humour, so good in fact i’ve booked him in to do some more work, highly recommend this company.

Luke removed a number of walls, installed windows and 2 doors for us and did an awesome job. He was a perfectionist in every part of the job, which was important as we had issues with the window measurements done by the window maker. Luke made this fit and look like the rest of the windows/doors in the house.

Good tradespeople are hard to find in today’s society but whilst Luke has a youthful sense of humour he is an old school tradie that has meticulous attention to detail.

Alterations and renovations can uncover surprises that present difficult challenges but not when Luke is on the job. He has a clever way of resolving issues to achieve the desired outcome and good enough is not good enough for Luke, he is a perfectionist.
