Planning
Scope the development potential, land use, and subdivision options for your property.
CKL works with homeowners and property developers to review and scope the development potential of their property.
Whether you are wishing to subdivide residential land to allow for an additional dwelling, establishing a new commercial development, or undertaking a significant urban development project, CKL will ensure potential is maximised.
Our team of resource management planners will work with you to prepare and submit applications and proposals to council for approval.
CKL has extensive experience in the subdivision of private freehold and publicly owned land, and the planning of retail, industrial, commercial and multipurpose developments. We also work with clients and partners including specialist consultants, local authorities, iwi representatives, and statutory consultees to prepare land use proposals for medium/high density residential developments and recreation and tourism ventures.
Surveying
Accurately measure and map development landscapes for title, subdivision, and construction purposes.
CKL surveyors are construction and development survey specialists with knowledge and expertise across a range of construction projects including residential, rural, commercial, and industrial subdivisions.
Our team has led numerous cadastral and topographical surveying projects for multi-dwelling development specialists. They use the latest technology and are able to provide direction on unit title and strata developments.
All our surveyors have a thorough knowledge and understanding of construction process and have worked with architects and engineers on complex and significant projects including the setting out on the Clyde Dam and the Fitzherbert Bridge in Palmerston North.
CKL's surveyors are highly experienced in the survey of dangerous and inaccessible areas such as quarries, landfills, and mines.
This expertise combines to provide you with a team that has extensive experience across a range of major infrastructure projects including roading, tunneling, and rail.
Land Development
Investigate the feasibility, design and construction potential of land and provide expert advice on land and resource management.
CKL’s land development team works hand-in-hand with our surveyors and planners to undertake development and subdivision feasibility investigations to help you realise the full potential of your land.
Our focus is to ensure our clients optimise the potential of their site through innovative, best practice engineering design whilst minimising the environmental impact of construction activities.
From simple in-fill subdivisions, to large and complex urban expansion proposals, CKL marry the latest international trends with a strong knowledge of local and regional land and resource management regulations.
Engineering
Solve engineering design and construction challenges with innovative, best practice civil and environmental engineering expertise.
With a dedicated team of civil and environmental engineers and technicians, CKL has significant experience in all aspects of engineering design and construction and has project managed some of New Zealand’s significant land development and infrastructure projects.
By nature, engineers are problem solvers and CKL values innovative and best practice approaches to achieve practical and sustainable solutions for our clients. We challenge our engineers to think outside the box when they are designing and constructing projects of any scale as even the smallest project can make a significant difference to our community.
Engineering solutions may encompass projects relating to carpark design and roading, earthworks and subdivision design, through to the modeling of sewer, stormwater and high-pressure networks.
Stormwater Solutions
Environmental engineering solutions for all stormwater management projects including erosion and sediment control, flood and flow regulation, ecological assessment and stormwater discharge.
CKL is now able to offer a dedicated and specialist team of engineers and technical support staff who are focused on providing environmental and ecological solutions for all manner of stormwater projects.
The merger of Stormwater Solutions Consulting Limited with CKL in May 2015 expanded our professional offering and enables us to provide clients with fully integrated solutions for complex and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
CKL’s stormwater solutions experts, led by Bronwyn Rhynd, are passionate about improving our environment and the quality of New Zealand’s lakes, streams, and coastline. Their focus is to deliver innovative stormwater solutions that are highly effective, sustainable, and result in minimal environmental impact.
The team has extensive experience working with local councils and regional development authorities and understands the various rules and regulations relating to stormwater runoff. The team is able to produce and project manage resource and building consents that are fully compliant with local regulations.
Bronwyn and her team are as comfortable working with small-scale developers on residential properties as they are working with multiple consultants and partners on flood risk assessments and the design of stormwater management systems for major commercial developments.
