Daly Construction NZ Ltd

Building is what we know, do and love!
Brothers Grant and Paul Daly have over 30 years combined building experience (working within New Zealand, Australia and the UK) and a real passion for people. “We decided to start our own company where we can combine both passions and that is how Daly Construction NZ was formed”.

We had been living and working in Queenstown, and returned to the Bay of Plenty in 2008 and have built a solid reputation for the highest quality in building services and workmanship in the Bay.

We specialise in building new homes and renovating existing homes. We are experienced, knowledgeable, passionate and committed to what we do.   We don’t just build homes, we build relationships.  We pride ourselves on our professionalism, expertise and customer service. Plus, we are friendly, honest, approachable and easy to work with.

We are Licensed Building Practitioners and New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB).

Our Team
At Daly Construction NZ we pride ourselves on high standards of quality workmanship and customer service and we only employ or partner with those that meet our high standards.

Rather than having a large team of builders, we like to operate with a smaller group to ensure we are working alongside, growing and developing the team.  We also take on apprentices which is a great way to support people getting into the industry but to also ensure the workmanship on our sites, from day one, matches that we set out for ourselves as we set the guiding principles.

The sub-contractors that work with us are carefully selected; they are chosen for their quality, reliability and customer relationship skills.  Most of our sub-contractors are owner/operators, so they have the added incentive to perform highly as their own reputation is at stake too.

Your Builder is Your Builder
We are Directors of the Company as well as the Lead Builder on our projects.  From what our customers tell us, this is ‘gold!’.  From the moment you enquire right through to picking up your key, you are dealing with the same person and that person is also building your home, so you receive experience, quality and continuity.

Vast Experience
We have over 30 years combined experienced purely in building. We are continually increasing our knowledge, creative solutions and processes and being the Directors and the Builders, we are able to. We are not limited to what an employer chooses to teach us.

Subcontractors Selection
Our subcontractors are hand-selected by us and the majority are owner/operators. This means we always know the staff working on site and can vouch for the quality, trustworthiness and reliability of those working on your job.

Creative Solutions
Given our vast experience, we work alongside you and offer creative solutions through the design process and as we are building. We are very flexible so if things change throughout the build we can work with you to accommodate this.

One-Stop Shop
Given our knowledge and experience within the building industry we offer a full service; from design, through the build, to the finishing touches such as fences, decks and hard landscaping. This makes it easy for our customers as they don’t have to engage with multiple companies, we can take care of it all for you!

We go the ‘extra’ mile
While this sounds like a cliché, with Daly Construction NZ it is anything but, and our customers can vouch for this. We go above and beyond in everything we do and embrace old fashioned values which is quite rare today. We are easy to deal with and we work WITH you throughout the project to achieve the best outcome.

Peace of Mind
Reliability is one of our core strengths. Working with Daly Construction NZ means you can rest easy knowing you have reputable, trustworthy builders working for you. Plus, we are easily accessible and quick to respond should you have any queries.

We build more than a home
Our passion is building AND people, this means we don’t just build you a home, but we connect with our customers and have lots of face to face conversations and form lasting relationships. Most of our work is from repeat business or through referrals.  We provide consistent quality.

Renovations:
An increasingly popular option today regarding homes is a renovation of an existing home. Renovations are perfect for tailoring the house to a growing family, changing needs or a lifestyle change, while allowing you to stay in the same location!

While building a new home can be stressful, just as stressful if not more stressful, can be renovating your existing home. Why is this? Well, there are a number of factors to consider and you are not dealing with a blank canvas and need to be mindful of existing structures.

When it comes to renovations, Daly Construction NZ really comes into its own! While some builders shy away from renovations, we have vast experience when it comes to this.  Given our knowledge and experience we are great at problem-solving and coming up with ideas as renovations can sometimes throw up the unexpected or involve tricky situations. We have fine-tuned our approach to renovations over the years so you can rest assured the job runs smoothly, your stress levels are reduced and we offer time and cost-saving ideas along the way!

Depending on the nature of the renovation, some projects may see customers still living in other areas of the house, while building work is taking place. This means when choosing a renovation builder you want a reputable one as they will be working in your home. When you choose Daly Construction NZ you have a smaller, friendlier team. Not only are the builders, approachable, reliable and trustworthy but so too are all the sub-contractors as they have been carefully selected to ensure the high-quality standard and customer service is maintained.

Restyles:
If you’re wanting to restyle, transform or makeover a room inside your home or an area or space outside, then we can help! Whether its rooms, fences, decks or hard landscaping we can help you achieve your vision. Plus, given our experience doing this type of work, we can also offer friendly advice and suggestions if you’re needing that too.

Transform A Room!
We’ll meet with you and first understand what your vision is, what are you wanting to achieve with the changes both in regard to design and style, as well as layout and practical elements.
We have lots of experience in this time of work and having renovated our own homes, can provide expert advice, suggestions and ideas for you to consider. There really is no limit to what area of your home you can restyle! Bathroom, Kitchen, Laundry, Lounge, Bedrooms….if you’re wanting to make a change, please contact us and we can help make it a reality.

Fences
Fences, particularly front fences, are quite often excluded from build projects and if the customer wants one, they must organise it themselves.  At Daly Construction NZ we can work with you on what you want and include it as part of your build project. This is much more time-effective for you and takes the hassle away from having to find a specific company to build your fence. And when you collect your keys, you are all sorted, and you can walk into your property and shut the gate behind you!

Decks
Our vast experience in the building industry means we have some great suggestions and recommendations for decks, which can ultimately provide you with a better outcome. One of our customers told us recently that our suggestion to extend the deck further than his initial thoughts had been well thought out and executed and he now feels like he has a second living room, only this time an outdoor one! With Daly Construction NZ a deck can be included within your project allowing for greater time and cost efficiencies.

Hard-landscaping
We are able to provide all your hard-landscaping needs such as retaining walls, planter boxes, garden beds and pergolas. We are creative, flexible and great problem-solvers so if you have an idea not listed here please just let us know and we can work with you to see what can be achieved.
