If you were to look at our website, you'll see we've taken the perhaps less conventional approach of sharing stories about all aspects of design - things that inspire and inform our work. 

We generally write about what sparks our creativity, from the places we’ve traveled and dining experiences we cherish, to the amazing people we meet along the way.

We’ll also offer occasional insights into our design process and projects, all while respecting the privacy of our clients.

People are the centre of our business - beginning with you the Client, our many colleagues, suppliers and partners, and of course our families and friends. 

These relationships are paramount to the success of our work and we appreciate the trust that is placed in us.  

Clients benefit from our dual expertise.

We offer what we sometimes call 'Integrated Services', which means we do more than just interior design.

As you may have read elsewhere, we're also window furnishings specialist, with combined decades of experience designing and delivering the best quality curtains, blinds and shutters to people, along with the more technical stuff like automation.

Curtains (for short) have provided us the opportunity to visit literally thousands of people in their homes, offices and baches, up and down the country.

It's not uncommon that our window work leads to interior work - and visa versa - once people get to know us.

We're grateful to everyone we've met, from those we've visited once, to our regular repeat clients - and everyone in between - all of whom we rely on for the success of our business. 

Creative Director at DSGNR, Stephanie brings a rich and varied background to the world of interior design.

Having studied at AUT, Steph built her early career in fashion marketing and buying, developing a strong foundation in textiles, product curation, and visual merchandising. Over time, her focus shifted toward interiors, where her knowledge of materials, spatial flow, and functional design has found a natural home.

With nearly a decade working with both residential and commercial interior clients, she offers a perspective that’s both intuitive and commercially savvy.

Her refined sense of texture, colour, and composition brings depth to every project, while her client-focused approach ensures each space is grounded in the people who live in it.

Interesting fact

A long-time enthusiast of food, wine, and hospitality, Stephanie and co-director MJ are establishing their own truffle orchard, just outside Cambridge.

Lili is DSGNR’s newest Interior Design Consultant and window furnishing specialist, based in Morrinsville and serving clients across the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Central North Island. 

Since entering the interior design industry in 2022, Lili has developed a sound knowledge of furnishings, fabrics, and interior products, enabling her to craft tailored solutions that elevate any home.

Lili holds a Diploma in Interior Design, complemented by Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and Psychology, which enrich her creative and client-focused approach. 

Interesting fact

Beyond her work in interiors, Lili is often involved in the world of community theatre. When she’s not designing, you might catch her performing on stage or working behind the scenes in local productions, applying her creative flair to the performing arts. 

Managing Director, Murray Jeffrey, aka MJ, is usually found in the DSGNR office managing interior projects and the business.

He has considerable experience in the tech and creative sectors, international trade, PR and marketing, advertising and TVC production, along with a bunch of other mildly interesting things.

His creative endeavours include working with the music, touring and film production sectors, and he enjoys shooting street photography - you'll see some his work on DSGNR's website.

Rumoured to have some skill in interiors, also.
