Infrastructure

We have a team of experienced technicians that manage and deliver every aspect of your EV charging infrastructure project. Once the site has been assessed EV Connect can support every aspect of the project including installation of electrical infrastructure, commissioning hardware and providing customer training, all with safety and quality at the forefront of our minds.

Management

EV Connect uses advanced software and monitoring systems to manage your EV charging network. These tools allow us to track the status of each charging station in real-time, schedule maintenance or repairs as needed, and even adjust the power output of chargers to match demand and energy availability.

Residential Charging

Residential charging allows electric vehicle drivers to charge their vehicle at home using their own charging station. The home could refer to their own house, a rented property, a managed apartment block or a residential retirement centre. it is more important than ever for residential properties of all types to have their own EV charging infrastructure to ensure factors like range anxiety are not a problem. Residential charging stations in NZ tend to be fast chargers, up to 22kW

Destination Charging

Destination charging means charging your electric vehicle at the end of your journey. This could be the shopping centre, the cinema, a holiday park, or a restaurant. Anywhere that you've taken time to visit and expect to stay at for an hour or perhaps all day. Charging stations at these locations are important as they allow long-distance visitors to "top-up" their vehicles as they go about their regular day-to-day activities. It could even be an incentive for Electric Vehicle Drivers to visit instead of competitor locations.

Workplace Charging

Workplace charging consists of electric vehicle charging stations that employees have at work, such as an office, warehouse, airport, or café. They’re an important part of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure and offer the opportunity to charge at times when the power grid has spare capacity. They also provide charging opportunities to staff members who may not have access to charging stations at home. Due to most full-time worker hours being 9am-5pm, workplace charging allows for a long dwell time, perfect for lower cost and fast AC charging of up to 22kW.

Public Sector Charging

 Public Sector Charging stations are charging stations managed by a public body - be that a local authority, local council or any other governmental organisation. They could serve general members of the public, staff members, or their own fleet of vehicles. The motivations for the Public Sector charging stations are likely not commercially motivated - instead it could be for social good or for meeting sustainability commitments.
