Testimonials

I purchased an outdoor heater and combination gas BBQ and Kamado Joe oven off Dirk last year. Dirk was very knowledgeable and professional, he gave great advice and the products he stocks are the best available in the market in my opinion. Dirk delivered and set up the BBQ, and was meticulous in his attention to detail, ensuring the units were functioning correctly and that I understood how all of the various features worked. The after sales service has also been excellent.
Will, Auckland - Grandfire Classic 32" Combo, Buffalo Heater
We purchased two of the outdoor heaters at the home show.  We have been so impressed with the convenience and the style of the heaters. We are now able to use our deck a great deal more in the winter, as long it is not raining, even it is really chilly we just put on the heaters and we are as warm as toast.  They really have extended our living area. As you will see we only had a small wood burner but we lost most of the heat from the top of the chimney, and also it was not anyway as stylish as the patio heaters. At the time we thought it may have been over kill buying both sizes but find if it is only mildly cold the small heater is great, but on the chilly nights just having the extra heat is fabulous. Also because they are so portable, we will be purchasing an outside dining table this Summer and being able to wheel the heaters anywhere on the deck will give us the flexibility as to where we position the table. We are very happy with the patio heaters and the service we have received. We would love to win the BBQ as we are sure it would match the high standard of the products we already have purchased from Hauland.

I built this BBQ table last summer and we had the most amazing time enjoying it with friends and family. Even after a new years party when it poured down with rain the next morning; I loaded up the grand fire 32 classic with bacon for a good wake-up feed. I get a lot of comments asking how to build it and find myself emailing build photos. I always recommend the grand fire from Hauland of course. And that people should but their own steak because the steaks from NZ butchers are like schnitzel!

Id like to thank you for both my Kamado joe and Big Joe. They are both amazing bbq's and will act as a great replacement for my Weber smoker and gas hooded bbq. It is very easy to light and holds a constant temperature which i struggled with with my weber. I would recommend a Kamado Joe to anybody and your advice and recommendations were greatly appreciated.

Adam McCready - Big Joe

Really enjoying the Kamado Joe. It is remarkably easy to use and as you can 'turn them off' when you finish cooking they use way less charcoal than I expected. Having read a few books on using Kamado ovens and how versatile they are I had been sceptical, but now, having baked and steamed food as well as 'low and slow smoking", roasting, braising and searing I am convinced. Just need a wok and I can stirfry too. Finally, the slide out ash drawer makes cleaning after use a very quick and easy job. Even though it is winter I am outside cooking 5 or 6 times a week.

Mark Disbury - Kamado Joe

Wanted to chuck a few photos in showing Brisket, ribs and home made sausages. All inspired by my Kamadojoe. I have spent hour on end using Joe, I'm an impatient person and get board of things quickly, I've had this for over 4 years now an Joe gets used all the time and manages to keep my focus, and with better results than a lot of these BBQ restaurants that are popping up. So an excellent product that has feed many people and received acclaimed feed back:)
