We believe our Project Management and attention to detail delivers the highest quality results for our clients ensuring the finest details are taken care of.

H + M Builders was established in 2017 by Hamish Inch and Matt Stephens, we are a Christchurch based building company servicing Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. Hamish and Matt are experienced architectural builders with 27 years experience between them. We pride ourselves on a quality job and treat each job with the merit it deserves. Communication is important to us and we look forward to discussing with you your building requirements.

H + M Builders are a proud Registered Master Builder’s member and can offer our clients the Registered Master Builders 10 Year guarantee.

Hamish and Matt are both trade qualified, Licensed Building Practitioners and Site Safe Members.

“We used Matt and Hamish to undertake a renovation on our 1930’s villa and were very happy with the results.
They were both great at communicating. After sending them a scope of works, they visited our house to talk through exactly what we wanted done. They provided a very detailed quote which was itemized to the individual elements which allowed us to budget more effectively and actually see where our money was going. They always kept us up to date with what was happening and ran through what they’d done when we got back from work each day.
Their quality of work was exceptional, with everything finished to a high standard and within the time frames they had initially outlined. They also made useful suggestions to changes to the plans, which made the house flow a lot better and assisted us with varying our building consent when we changed our mind on cladding.
During the work we were living at home and they tidied up each day and kept the house secure for us.
